About the role

The Company We are thrilled to partner with another powerhouse in the Australian Linehaul sector. Driven by outstanding senior leaders, highly respected in the space, this organisation continues to strengthen its operations. Thanks to continued growth, a newly developed position has opened for a BDM to own customer engagement. Your Role Reporting to senior leadership, this is a traditional BDM role; focused on identifying new commercial opportunities and strengthening long-term customer partnerships. Duties include:

  • Develop and maintain long-term customer relationships across multiple industries using local and interstate linehaul road freight
  • Identify, build and keep long-term relationships with customers across various industries
  • Stay aware of opportunities and insights within existing and emerging customer sectors
  • Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting through to contract negotiation and onboarding
  • Work closely with operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless customer transitions
  • Attend client meetings and industry networking events as required
  • Prepare customer proposals, quotations and presentations
  • Develop strategic account plans to support long-term growth
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and sales reporting
  • Achieve agreed sales and revenue targets

About You You are respected in the Transport, Logistics and Warehouse sector and find joy in winning and building customer contracts. A natural closer, you can demonstrate results in achieving sales targets and:

  • Proven success in new business development
  • Seasoned experience in the linehaul industry
  • A genuine passion for building relationships and delivering outstanding customer service
  • Strong communication, networking and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Sound commercial aptitude
  • Sound technology skills such as ERP systems and MS365

Other Details The position is based on-site and hybrid, with local, regional and interstate travel as required (not excessive). The salary is not disclosed because we are eager to speak with the best in the industry.
